Managing Director of CIPREL
Mr Bernard Kouassi N’guessan has been the Managing Director of CIPREL since January 2010. He has more than 25 years’ experience in management and in the operation of thermal plants in the Ivory Coast.
He joined CIPREL in 1994 as Plant Manager, a post that he held for twelve years. Subsequently, he was promoted to the post of Deputy Operations Managing Director for three years before being made Managing Director. Before joining CIPREL, Mr N’Guessan held several posts of responsibility within EECI and then CIE: YOUPOUGON Plant Head of the Workshop Division and the intervention group for Hydraulic Production management in 1984, Head of the mechanical department at the VRIDI thermal steam production plant in 1986, Supervisor of the methods office, Inventory and insurance management of Thermal Production in 1989 and Director of the Vridi I gas turbine plant in 1992.
Mr N’guessan started his career in 1982 as an Industrial Engineer at Blue Bell Ivory Coast (Wrangler Group). He has a degree in industrial electrical engineering from Institut Supérieur Industriel d’Etat in Belgium and he completed management training at IFG CNOF in France. Mr N’guessan also has a qualification from AMP (Advanced Management Program) and a degree in Executive Education from Abidjan MDE Business School, in collaboration with Barcelona IESE Business School in Spain.
Mr N’guessan is from the Ivory Coast, married and a father of 4.
