AWALE (a subsidiary of CIE and the Eranove group) is a company whose goal is to make high speed data transfer possible via the Ivory Coast’s electricity network. 322 km of fibre optics have been installed in Abidjan.

In 2010, AWALE signed a 20-year agreement with the Ivory Coast’s government, granting them exclusive access to the national transport and distribution electricity network in order to allow them to construct and operate fibre optic and power-line communication networks (PLC).
